The company was established in 1973, and has been under the same ownership since 1984. This probably qualifies as the longest-operating car radio business in Sydney. 

This is an independent small business, not part of a chain, and we offer sensible advice, quality brands and a high standard of workmanship.

This is one of the few shops in NSW which have the facilities and experience to do custom installations. We have a wood-working and fibreglassing facility in-house, and employ specialist custom installers with many years experience. We also offer 'stealth' installations of car hi-fi systems, to keep the vermin away from your prized possessions.

Fairfield Car Radio has been an Alpine dealership since 1993, and stock a comprehensive range of Alpine, Kenwood, Clarion, Panasonic, Soundstream, VDO and Focal products.

We also sell GME Electrophone UHF and CB equipment, Mongoose, Antitheft and Rhino car alarms, and Navman, Garmin and VDO navigation systems.

We are a member of the Car Audio Masters, which is an Australia-wide chain of over 80 car audio specialists. This means we can offer Australia-wide warranty, and our customers have access to technical assistance wherever they travel in Australia. In a world where more and more stores are interested in selling boxes and not providing service or knowledge, this sets the CAM stores apart from the crowd.

Fairfield Car Radio holds a Master Security Licence, which means that we are licenced by NSW Police to install insurance-approved car alarms. Many mobile alarm installers are not licenced, nor are many of the contractors used by chain stores which sell car alarms. We employ a trained technician who can install and repair most brands of car alarms. We offer alarms from major Australian manufacturers, at prices much lower than new-car dealers, so remember us when you buy a new car. We buy in bulk so our prices are very competitive, typically from $250 to $399 including installation!
